1. Overview
This activity is developed and delivered with AI assistance.
Some cases are developed entirely by faculty without AI. Where AI is used, it assists faculty, who set and validate the correct clinical pathway for every case. All AI-assisted content is reviewed by qualified faculty reviewers to confirm relevance, scientific accuracy, and alignment with the educational scope of the activity. The activity is AI-assisted, not AI-generated.
The AI tool used is Claude (Anthropic), versions Opus 4.7 and 4.8, used in July 2026. Prompts and participant responses processed by AI are not stored externally.
2. How AI is used
Drafting
AI helps draft candidate cases and decision pathways for some cases. Faculty set and validate the correct clinical pathway for every case, and qualified reviewers confirm each case for relevance, scientific accuracy, and fit with the educational scope.
Aggregate analysis
AI performs de-identified, aggregate analysis of participant decisions at each decision node, including clustering of common errors, for educational-outcomes reporting and the design of future activities. It does not alter content for any individual during the activity.
Identity and integrity verification
AI flags possible duplicate registrations and shared responses for human review. AI does not make registration or credit decisions. Registration is verified by the platform, with staff reviewing any flagged cases. Credit is awarded under the accreditation of Partners, the accredited provider.
3. Validation and oversight
- Each AI-assisted case is clinically validated by faculty before release.
- Every case passes two independent review rounds conducted by different reviewers.
- The full case mix has been reviewed and approved by faculty.
- Faculty reviewers have no relevant financial relationships and were screened for the potential to insert commercial bias.
- The designated physician lead (Activity Chair) can revise or discontinue any AI-assisted content.
4. Independence and responsibility
- Partners for Advancing Clinical Education is the accredited provider and has reviewed the educational content for accuracy, timeliness, fair balance, and to ensure that it supports safe, effective patient care.
- AI does not autonomously determine content, results, or credit.
- No commercial supporter had any role in content design, case selection, scoring methodology, or recognition.
